Titanium Grade 9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V) is an alpha-beta titanium alloy composed of approximately 3% aluminum, 2.5% vanadium, and balance titanium. It offers a tensile strength of about 620 MPa, yield strength around 483 MPa, and elongation of approximately 15–20%, with excellent fatigue and creep resistance. It has a density of 4.48 g/cm³ and maintains mechanical properties even at elevated temperatures. The alloy offers an excellent combination of strength, formability, and corrosion resistance, particularly against seawater and oxidizing environments, making it ideal for both structural and pressure-handling applications.
