Tensile strength is 275–500 MPa, yield strength ~105–300 MPa, and elongation ~25–40%. It offers superior erosion resistance, stress corrosion cracking, and marine biofouling resistance. Tubing exists in conditions such as annealed and drawn having smooth finishes and uniform wall thickness. Strength is maintained in high temperatures and brackish water, recommending it for industrial cooling systems and pipe transport of seawater.
