Recognized for its high strength, toughness, and resistance to corrosion, Super Duplex steel has the advantages of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. Our Super Duplex tubing is produced in conformance with ASTM A789/A790 specifications and is suitable for severe use in oil and gas, marine, and chemical applications. Super Duplex Steel Tubing has the composition of roughly 50% austenite and 50% ferrite, alloyed with chromium (up to 25%), molybdenum (up to 4%), and nitrogen. Its typical tensile strength is 800–1000 MPa, and yield strength is 550–700 MPa, with elongation of approximately 25%. Its density is approximately 7.8 g/cm³. Super Duplex provides excellent pitting corrosion resistance, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in sour environments. It possesses extremely good mechanical properties that render it highly fatigue– and pressure-resistant, ideal for high-stress applications.
