Tantalum Pipes consist of 99.99% pure tantalum that provides excellent resistance against aggressive acids, such as sulfuric, hydrochloric, and nitric acid. The tensile strength of the material is approximately 275 MPa, yield strength of 200 MPa, and elongation of 10–15%. The material has a density of about 16.6 g/cm³, which is among the highest values for metals utilized in piping. The corrosion resistance of tantalum is due to its high-density oxide layer, which remains protective for the material even in very reactive environments. It is stable in high temperatures and harsh pH levels and is best suited for chemical processing and reactor uses.
