Stainless Steel 301L Tubing is an austenitic alloy made up of 16–18% chromium, 6–8% nickel, and a low carbon content (≤0.03%), along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. This low carbon version enhances weldability and helps resist intergranular corrosion. In its annealed state, it boasts a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of around 220 MPa, and an elongation of 45% or more. When cold worked, its strength increases significantly while still maintaining good ductility. The material also has a hardness rating of about 95–100 HRB, making it perfect for forming and structural applications.
