Stainless Steel 17-7 PH tubing is a precipitation-hardening stainless alloy that contains about 16–18% chromium, 6.5–7.8% nickel, 0.75–1.5% aluminum, along with trace amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. This alloy boasts high strength and decent corrosion resistance. When in its annealed state, it offers a yield strength of around 275 MPa and a tensile strength close to 896 MPa. After undergoing cold working or heat treatment, its tensile strength can soar beyond 1,700 MPa. It also achieves good hardness, reaching up to 50 HRC in CH900 condition, and maintains mechanical stability at higher temperatures, making it a great fit for structurally demanding applications.
