Stainless Steel 347 and 347H EFW Tubes are constructed out of top–grade austenitic chromium-nickel alloys. The mix contains about 18% chromium, 9% nickel, and columbium (niobium) to offer better resistance to intergranular corrosion. Type 347H has more carbon for enhanced strength at elevated temperature. These pipes provide superior mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of 75,000 psi (517 MPa) and yield strength of 30,000 psi (207 MPa). Other advantages are exceptional weldability, resistance to oxidation, and structural stability, making them well-suited for high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosive industrial conditions.
