It is produced using Monel 400 or Monel K500 tubing and provides superior performance in saltwater, acidic, and alkaline settings. Monel instrumentation tubing has ~63% Ni, ~28–34% Cu, and traces of Fe, Mn, and Si. Tensile strength is 480–770 MPa, yield strength ~170–620 MPa, and elongation ~30–45%. Monel 400 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and marine atmospheres. Monel K500 offers enhanced strength as a result of aluminum and titanium hardening. The tubing is cold-worked and annealed to offer smooth bore, high concentricity, and tight leak-proof sealing. It resists high pressures, extreme temperatures, and corrosive chemicals and can be used for severe, high-precision fluid and gas handling systems.
