Stainless Steel 316 and 316L Instrumentation Tubing contains iron, chromium (16-18%), nickel (10-14%), and molybdenum (2-3%) to provide excellent corrosion resistance and durability “L” grade at low carbon content , which increases weldability and reduces carbide precipitation. Technical properties include high tensile strength (515 MPa for 316 and 480 MPa for 316L) and good elongation (40% for both grades) These alloys offer advantages such as excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion , and makes it ideal for hard surfaces, also as good formability and easy fabrication.
