SS 304 is the most widespread used austenitic stainless steel with good weldability, machinability, and chemical resistance. This tubing is resistant to corrosion in mild acidic and oxidizing conditions and can withstand temperatures of up to ~870°C. Its smooth bore finish provides accurate fluid control and low risk of contamination. The tubing is non-magnetic in annealed state, very formable, and well suited for orbital welding and tight tolerance systems. Its high strength, pitting resistance, and durability make it well suited for precision instrumentation and fluid measurement.
