SS 310/310S tubing contains 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel. 310S has ≤0.08% carbon, while 310 has ~0.25% and 310H ~0.10%. Both grades provide tensile strength of ~515 MPa, yield strength of ~205 MPa, and elongation around 40%. The seamless design ensures uniform wall thickness and excellent pressure resistance. These alloys resist oxidation and creep at temperatures up to 1100°C. 310S is less likely to suffer from intergranular corrosion and is preferred for welded structures. They maintain strength and integrity under cyclic thermal stress and in environments rich in sulphur or oxidizing gases.
