Super Duplex Steel Mechanical Tubing has about 24–26% Chromium, 6–8% Nickel, 3–5% Molybdenum, 0.2–0.3% Nitrogen, and the remainder is Iron. The alloy takes the shape of a two-phase austenitic-ferritic structure that provides superior strength and corrosion resistance. It has tensile strength of 700–950 MPa, yield strength greater than 550 MPa, and an elongation of 25–30%. The tubing is very resistant to stress corrosion caused by chloride, pitting, and crevice corrosion. Having superior toughness, weldability, and fatigue strength, such tubing provides structural integrity in harsh conditions and is appropriate for high-stress mechanical and hydraulic purposes.
