Super Duplex Steel Seamless Tubing has a 25% chromium, 7% nickel, and 4% molybdenum composition that forms dual-phase microstructure of austenite and ferrite. It exhibits very high strength and corrosion resistance with tensile strength of 760–850 MPa, yield strength of 550–650 MPa, and 25–35% elongation. The material contains a high pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) greater than 40, which gives great resistance to stress corrosion cracking. It is appropriate for harsh pressure and corrosive conditions that provide good weldability and toughness, even for cryogenic temperatures.
