ASTM A335 Gr P91 is a ferritic-martensitic alloy steel that contains about 8–9.5% chromium, 0.85–1.05% molybdenum, 0.18–0.25% vanadium, along with small amounts of niobium and nitrogen. It has a minimum tensile strength of 585 MPa, a yield strength of 415 MPa, and good elongation of at least 20%. This material shows excellent resistance to thermal fatigue, creep deformation, and oxidation, particularly at high temperatures up to 650°C. After heat treatment and normalization, P91 displays strong mechanical performance in high-stress situations.
