SS 310/310S consists of 24–26% Cr, 19–22% Ni, and ≤0.25% C for 310 or ≤0.08% C for 310S. These welded tubes have a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and around 40% elongation. The high amounts of chromium and nickel provide excellent resistance to oxidation, up to 1100°C. SS 310S has lower carbon content, which improves weldability and minimizes sensitization. The welded design maintains structural integrity and performs well under pressure in moderate-duty thermal applications. These tubes also resist sulfidation and scaling, ensuring durability in thermal cycling or changing atmospheric conditions.
