Aluminium 7075 tubing is a super-strong alloy largely consisting of aluminium, with major alloying constituents including Zinc (5.6–6.1%), Magnesium (2.1–2.5%), and Copper (1.2–1.8%), with minor constituents of Chromium, Manganese, and Silicon. Characterized by a very high strength-to-weight ratio, it provides tensile strength of 505–575 MPa, yield strength of 430–505 MPa, and elongation of 11–12%. It is very machinable, weldable, and suitable for heat treatment for improved performance. It also gives superior fatigue resistance and corrosion protection, making it ideal for severe operating conditions in aerospace and defense applications.
