Hastelloy C22 pipes are largely comprised of nickel (approximately 56%), chromium (22-24%), and molybdenum (13-17%) supplemented by iron, tungsten, and cobalt which be used as additive elements to increase strength and oxidizing resistance. The mechanical properties include yield strength around 30,000 psi, ultimate tensile strength around 75,000 psi, and 40% minimum elongation. Hastelloy C22 pipe offers exceptional corrosion resistance especially in acidic and aggressive chemical environments. For these reasons, Hastelloy C22 is often specified for chemical processing aspects and for marine applications. Hastelloy C22 also has high strength, good weldability and formability.
