Copper Nickel 70/30 tubings are produced consisting of 70% copper and 30% nickel, plus trace amounts of iron and manganese for extra strength. This material is also highly resistant to corrosion, notably in seawater and brine. Additionally, it has strong mechanical properties (up to 570 MPa tensile strength), elongation (up to 40%), and resistance to stress corrosion cracking. It is a very tough tubing type with very good thermal and electrical conductivity; it is also resistant to biological fouling. This specification is used in marine applications, heat exchangers, and condenser systems.
