Liam Pipes & Tubes produces and offers high-performance Alloy Steel EFW (Electric Fusion Welded) Pipes in Houston, USA. The pipes are manufactured with electric fusion welding, which provides robust, durable weld seams that are perfect for high-pressure and high-temperature systems. Alloy steel incorporates carbon with metals such as chromium, molybdenum, and manganese to improve strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance. Our EFW pipes, meeting ASTM A691 and specifications thereof, are perfect for use in power plants, boilers, refineries, and heat exchangers. Offered in heavy thickness and large diameters, these pipes are designed to last and deliver outstanding mechanical performance in hostile industrial environments.
Alloy Steel EFW Pipes usually consist of 0.5–1.25% Mo, 0.5–1.5% Cr, and different carbon, manganese, and silicon contents according to the grade (such as P5, P9, P11, etc.). These pipes provide tensile strength ~485–620 MPa, yield strength ~275–415 MPa, and elongation ~20–30%. The EFW welding process creates strong seams appropriate for piping systems with large diameters. The pipes are resistant to creep, stress rupture, and oxidation at high temperatures. Their weldability, strength, and resistance to scaling properties make them appropriate for pressure systems that work in thermal fatigue and corrosive conditions.
